Most Anticipated films of 2019

Hi Guys, glad to be back again this year, we’re still here!  We took the time off to come up with better ideas with regards to content and how we can improve our interaction with the community.

2019 is going to be an exciting year in movies and many will be flocking to the cinemas. From Mega blockbusters such as Avengers: Endgame and Star Wars Episode 9 to live-action remakes of childhood classics such as the Lion King and Aladdin, we definitely don’t want to miss out. Of course, we can’t list every film we’re looking forward to seeing this year, thus we have compiled a list of 10 films that are an absolute ”must-see” in no specific order.


Set for an early release this year, Glass is the sequel to M. Night Shyamalan’s previous films Unbreakable (2006) and Split (2016). The film will be a follow up to Split and will see the return of James  McAvoy as the beast, who is joined alongside Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and Anya Talyor-Joy.

John Wick: Chapter 3

Keanu Reeves returns as the expert hitman and still on the run following his assassination of a fellow member in the Continental. He is joined alongside Halle Berry, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Laurence Fishburne.

DC is slowly getting back up on its feet following the success of Aquaman and the trailer for Shazam left us with more to be excited about. The film stars Asher Angel as Billy Batson, a teenage boy who can transform via the magic word “Shazam” into an adult superhero, played by Zachary Levi.

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel marks part of the conclusion of Marvel Phase 4 and the introduction of Carol Danvers, A.K.A Captain Marvel played by Brie Larson to the MCU. After the Earth is caught in the center of a galactic conflict between two alien worlds, Captain Marvel must rise to the threat and bring an end to the war. Brie Larson is joined alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Lassana Lynch and Jude Law.

Avengers: Endgame

Infinity War left a slightly sour taste in our mouths with the disappearance of some of our favorite characters. The remaining Avengers need to come together one last time to reverse the effects of the Thanos snap.

Toy Story 4

Toy Story 4 film 2019

Set for a summer release, Toy Story 4 is the fourth installment in the series and the return of Sheriff Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), among their other toy friends, who have found new appreciation after being given by Andy Davis to Bonnie Anderson.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Quentin Tarantino is back with his ninth film which is based on the Manson Family Murders. The film boasts Hollywood’s finest such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie.

The Clown Prince of Crime is about to make a return to the big screen. Joaquin Phoenix will portray the character and is joined alongside Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, and Bill Camp.

The Lion King

The live-action remake of a childhood favorite is set to hit theatres this summer. Featuring a stellar cast doing the voice work for the film and a huge production budget, Disney aims to make you truly experience this classic as you did in your younger days

Star Wars: Episode 9

This film marks the conclusion of the Skywalker saga and sees J.J. Abrams return to the helm in directing. With the mixed reception received by the previous film – The Last Jedi (2017), we can’t wait to see how this turns out.
